Our last week of school came quickly. We enjoyed some fun activities and an amazing field trip. Our last field trip of the year was to Green Springs Park. I learned about Green Springs Park from KidfriendlyDC blog. It is the best place to get all the information you need for events and local places to visit. She even has a few giveaways from time to time. If you live or plan to visit the area make sure to check out her blog.
We you first arrive you aren’t sure you are at the right place. It’s kind of hidden but I think that’s what makes it such a nice place to visit. I gave the older four a very simple assignment. They each needed to pick a few plants or flowers that they would take pictures of for an Art project. They had a blast explore all the park had to offer. There are lots of interesting plants and flowers to look at. We also found some animals, a path through the woods, and a bridge to snack on. It was a nice day to spend in a garden.
I have also included some of our end of year photos. We did an egg drop challenge as well as made some rock candy. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
