Review Days

In the middle of each school year I try to have a couple of review days. We use these days to review the information the kiddos have learned over the past months. This year I chose the 2 days leading up to 100 day. It’s the week before Christmas and honestly I really need a break more than the kids. I decided to focus on the core subjects Math and English and then try to touch on a few other big ones like Science, Social Studies, and Health. I also thought it would be a great time to view some EWTN or Catholic TV.

Review day plan:

Math: The girls will each be taking to time to redo several problems that they have gotten wrong in the past. Teaching Textbooks offers the opportunity for problem to be redone if a wrong answer is given. I like to use this as a review for things they didn’t know when they did a lesson and should know after several weeks. Duke will be using the Mathseeds-First Grade app on my ipad to review and entertain himself with some fun math games.
